The state government has set up an e-vehicle promotion fund of Rs 200 crore under the electric vehicle policy to promote electric vehicles in the state along with providing relief to the common man.

According to the guidelines of Fame-2 in the state government’s ‘Electric Vehicle Policy-2022’, a provision has been made to recharge the state GST amount to buyers of modern battery vehicles and give a lump sum grant from e-vehicle promotion funds. Recharge and lump sum grant amounts will be purchased from 01 September 2022 and will be payable on vehicles registered in the state. To take advantage of this scheme, you have to buy electric vehicle from Rajasthan state.

Registration will have to be done
The Joint Transport Commissioner of the Department of Transport and Road Safety said that for this subsidy, the first vehicle manufacturer registered in Fame-2 of this policy is required to register on the departmental portal. Verification will be done by the department after registration. After verification, the manufacturer will again record the model of a vehicle with modern battery, type of battery and battery capacity on the portal again by the manufacturer. After completing this process on the portal, the department will verify the vehicle model, the type of battery and battery capacity etc. by the department and the vehicle buyers will be allowed on the vehicle portal to recharge and apply for the grant claim.

How to register
On behalf of the vehicle owner, the final 5 digits of the registration number and chassis number of your vehicle will be recorded on the portal. Then OTP will be sent via SMS on the applicant’s mobile number. The vehicle owner will upload the details of his bank account with the bank documents such as the passbook front page canceled check, then will submit the application. The grant amount will be directly transferred to the vehicle owner’s account. The number of electric vehicles for encouragement will be according to the limit given for each category. The concerned vehicle manufacturer, vehicle dealers and vehicle purchases can apply on the portal to get the grant amount.
