New Delhi. Pakistan may have made preparations to play a cricket match with India in Lahore, but it does not seem possible. According to reports sources, Indian cricket team will not go on Pakistan tour. This match between India and Pakistan is proposed in the Champions Trophy. Pakistan has to host the ICC Champions Trophy. Its competitions are to be held in February-March next year. India is demanding to conduct this tournament in hybrid model.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday submitted the schedule of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to ICC. This schedule will be final only when it is approved by ICC. But even before this, there have been reports of the Indian team not going to Pakistan. According to sources, the Indian team will not go to Pakistan due to security reasons. India has demanded to hold its matches in UAE or Sri Lanka under the hybrid model.
This time India-Pakistan 8 teams have to participate in the Champions Trophy. A total of 15 matches will be played between these 8 teams. In the schedule submitted by PCB to ICC, India’s matches have been kept in Lahore only due to security and ‘logistical’ reasons.
Last year, Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup in hybrid model. Under this, matches of all the teams except India were played in Pakistan. India had refused to go to Pakistan due to security reasons. For this reason all India’s matches were played in Sri Lanka.
