The Telangana Legislative Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution on Tuesday, urging the Center to follow the state government-run broad-economic, employment, political and caste survey.
The Chief Minister transferred the proposal, a Revantha Reddy, that the state government is committed to the welfare of backward classes, SCS and STS and other weaker sections in the state.
Sankalp said that the Center should conduct such survey across the country to understand the terms of different castes.
Chairman G Prasad Kumar announced that the proposal was unanimously adopted.
During the one -day special session, to debate the caste survey and also called a judicial commission report on SC classification, Revent Reddy made a statement on the survey conducted by the Congress government.
He underlined the details of the survey shared by Minister of State N Uttam Kumar Reddy two days ago.
Given that according to the law, a constitutional amendment is required to provide 42 percent reservation to backward classes (which leads to violation of 50 percent cap on quota), Mr. Reddy said that Congress for backward classes 42 percent quota will be provided. According to IHS, the population of backward classes was 40 percent, while according to the latest survey it is 46.25 percent.
This is the population of other castes (OC), which declined by 21 percent of IHS from 15 percent (including OCS) in caste survey.
In a sharp attack on BRS, Reddy said that the data of IHS was neither approved by the cabinet nor by the Legislative Assembly.
Revanth Reddy alleged that BRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao, his son and party executive president KT Ram Rao and other party leaders, BJP MP DK Aruna did not participate in the caste survey.

The state cabinet on Tuesday morning presented the caste survey and judicial commission report before considering the Legislative Assembly, until it was discussed in the Legislative Assembly.
