A British citizen, who came to Delhi to meet a man on Instagram, was raped at a Mahopalpur Hotel. The police arrested Kailash in a rape case and his friend Wasim has been accused of molesting a UK tourist.
Police have said that the woman came to India for a holiday in Maharashtra and Goa. He called Kailash from there and asked him to join him. Kailash said that he cannot travel and asked him to come to Delhi. The woman reached Delhi on Tuesday and was recorded at a hotel in Mahipalpur. She then called Kailash and reached the hotel with her friend Wasim. He allegedly raped her that night.
The next morning, the woman approached the Vasant Kunj police station and filed a complaint. According to the guidelines, the police have informed the British High Commission about the incident and are also assisting the UK national.
Kailash, it has learned, works in a private firm. The woman has told the police that he was struggling to speak English and used Google translation to communicate with her.
