Agra: Along with traffic rules, it is very important to put a seat belt for its own safety. However, knowing all its benefits, many people drive cars without seat belts. In such a situation, traffic police personnel cut the challan without driving a car without a seat belt. Still, many people who run the vehicle by breaking the rules are left, but now the traffic department will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for those who break the traffic rules. That is, now the camera equipped with AI who breaks the rules will come in captivity. It has been prepared in Agra.

ITM-S of Integrated Traffic Management System, ie ITM-S has been implemented in Agra Smart City. 110 artificial intelligence -based cameras have been installed across the city, which will capture the drivers who do not wear seat belts. The automatic ₹ 1000 e-challan of the driver who does not wear a seat belt will reach through mobile.

Smart city cameras will send photos to police
According to Municipal Commissioner Ankit Khandelwal, e-challan will be generated from the cameras installed under the ITM-S system earlier. It has been implemented as an experiment. Since Friday, this system is working completely. Photo drawn from the camera will be sent to the traffic police control room. After verifying, the challan will reach the mobile phone of the vehicle owner. This system is completely automatic or based on Artificial Intelligence.

All challans will now be done through AI
In the city of Agra, till now, invoices of without helmets were from AI technology. Now there will also be challans of drivers running without seat belt cars. In addition, triple riding, crossing red lights, driving in the wrong direction and over speed challans will now be done with AI technology. Agra Municipal Corporation is using this technology for the first time in the state. A control room has been built in the office of Smart City present in the Agra Municipal Corporation campus. Here, vehicles are being monitored with camera on big screens.

There will be a shortage in accidents
The use of seat belts reduces serious injuries and death probability by 45% in road accidents. According to the World Health Organization and other research institutions, the risk of seriously injured or death of drivers and passengers who do not belong to seat belts are several times higher. This initiative will also reduce the injuries in accidents across the city and the number of dead will also decrease.
