Mumbai:
A 15 -year -old boy and his family were booked on anti -India slogans during a cricket match in the Indurgurg district of Maharashtra, claiming that Kishore participated in Madrasa for studies and was not interested in playing or watching the game.
On 23 February, a complaint was lodged in the Tarakarly Road area of ââhis mother Malvan while allegedly lifted the anti-India slogans during the India-Pakistan cricket match.
The couple was arrested, and the teenager was presented to a teenage board.
In the following days, the family shop and the house were surprised by the civil authorities, who claimed that the structures were unauthorized.
A warehouse of the brother of the accused scrap dealer was demolished even after complaints by the locals, and a notice was also given to the zamindar.
The family from Uttar Pradesh has alleged that some people had conspired to trap their son using specific words and confuse him in conversation.
A senior Sindhudurg police officer told PTI that an investigation was going on, but he had no audio or video clip of the opposing slogan raised by the teenager.
Another official investigating the case said that the accused person was on bail and he would soon file a charge sheet in the case.
Talking to PTI about the day, the day his life took a turn for a worse, the accused Kishore said he was returning home after praying at a night in a mosque when a man tried to stop him and asked his name.
He said, “Initially, I tried to avoid it by giving a false name because I was scared, but the man stopped me again and asked me if I had seen a cricket match. I told him that I don’t watch a cricket match because I am not a time or interested,” he said.
The boy claimed that the person asked him to which side he would take during the India-Pakistan match, in which he said he would choose India.
“The man created a scene and called another person who stood behind, and claimed that I gave an anti-India slogan. They slapped me once or twice,” he said.
Kishore said that men took him home to meet his father, who was not at home.
People soon gathered outside the house, and there was a dispute between them and their parents. The men who had argued with him earlier were laughing, the boy claimed.
The 38 -year -old father of the boy, who was arrested in the case, said his son was innocent.
He said, “He is not interested in cricket and does not watch matches. Two people did this intentionally, and it was a pre -planned step to bother us,” he said.
The boy participates in Madrasa and does not even get holidays, the father said.
He said, “I have been living in Malavan with my brothers and siblings for more than 20 years. We are only involved in our family and scrap business and are not mixed in any dispute,” he said.
He alleged that two people had initially came to their house, complaining that the boy had raised anti -India slogans, and they had beaten him.
Later, some other people came and asked them to not proceed the matter, and they dispersed.
“After some time, more than 30-35 people came to my house and started beating us. It is true that in vengeance, my wife picked up a plastic chair, when some people started beating our son, but he did not hit anyone and pushed during a scuffle,” he said.
The family went to the police station, and a case was registered against him for anti -India slogans, he said, demanded a proper investigation in the case.
The entire family of the teenager seems to have paid a heavy price, as his shop, warehouse and house were demolished after the incident.
The boy’s uncle said that the authorities demolished his warehouse, and the scrap worth millions of rupees was misunderstood.
In a collapse of the incident, gram panchayats in some villages of Malvan decided not to allow people from other states not to run their businesses without permission.
A gram panchayat in Trimbak village also warned the hoardings and banners to the people of other states, in which scraps dealing with, selling vegetables, surrounding their goods or road vending.
