A research team has made significant discovery in relation to the complex reaction mechanism of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in supercruitical water. These findings are important for understanding the molecular mechanisms of co₂ mineralization and separation in nature and engineering as well as deep carbon cycle in the inner part of the Earth. This understanding will help pave the way for new directions in carbon separation technologies in future. The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
