Many of us do not know about the one-day tourist card facility of Delhi Metro. This is a very good option for those who do not travel frequently in the metro. For those people, Delhi Metro launched a special ‘Tourist Smart Card’ in September 2023, offering “unlimited rides” across the metro network.
Tourist Smart Card: Types
There are two types of travel cards: one-day cards and three-day cards.
How to buy tourist smart card
You can get this tourist card at any metro station in Delhi. With this card with validity of one day or three days, you can travel unlimited times inside Delhi Metro. You will not have to pay any extra charge for this.
Tourist Smart Card: how much do you have to pay
A one-day validity tourist card is priced at Rs 200, of which Rs 50 is refundable, and a three-day tourist card is priced at Rs 500. This card also includes a refundable security deposit of Rs 50. This tourist card can be used unlimited times at all metro stations except the Airport Express Line.
dmrc app
Tourists can also download the official app (DMRC App) of ‘Delhi Metro Rail’ to plan their journey. The app also includes a dedicated section called ‘Tour Guide’ on the home page. In this, tourists can see the list of all the stations around any tourist place in Delhi.
Delhi Metro is closely connected to practically all the main tourist attractions of Delhi including Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Akshardham Temple and Kalkaji Temple. In such cases, passengers can easily reach these tourist destinations by traveling through various corridors of Delhi Metro using these passes.
Meanwhile, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Sunday, June 30, said that more than half of the work on three major lines for the Delhi Metro Phase IV expansion project has been completed.
“The Phase 4 expansion project is progressing rapidly to launch all three priority routes, totaling 65 km additional lines, by 2026,” DMRC officials said.
“At present, more than 50 per cent progress has been made on all three corridors. On the Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor, around 80 per cent civil work has been completed,” said Anuj Dayal, DMRC’s chief executive director of corporate communications. , Read more on zeebiz.com/india/news-dmrc-whatsapp-number-qr-code-ticket-fourth-phase-extension-50-per-cent-work-completed-on-all-3-corridors-majlis- Park-Maujpur-Aerocity-Tughlakabad-Janakpuri-West-RK-Ashram-Marg-298900
