Transparent aluminum: droplets of small acid converts metal into glass -like materials



Transparent aluminum oxide (talox), despite its science-Fi name, is a real material, incredibly rigid and resistant to scratches, which is perfect for electronics, optical sensors and protective coatings on solar panels. On science-fi show Star Trek, it is also used for Starship Window and Spacefare Aquarium.
