Washington:
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday suggested Gaza to permanently displaced the Palestinians, stating that there was no option but to leave the Palestinian enclave destroyed by Israel’s military attack.
Why it is important
Trump, who wanted to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, first suggested to displace the Palestinians from Gaza on 25 January, urging Egypt and Jordan to be taken in more people. When asked if he was suggesting a long -term or short -term solution, he said: “Either may happen.”
He has since reiterated the plan at least four times since he includes on Tuesday when he said that Palestinians in Gaza can go to Jordan and other countries beyond Egypt.
Jordan, Egypt and other Arab countries, as well as Palestinian leaders have publicly rejected the idea that critics say there will be an amount for ethnic cleaning.
The US President’s comments have long echoed the possibility of permanently operating the Palestinian fear from their homes.
