Brussels:
The head of the United Nations Refugee Agency on Wednesday dressed President Donald Trump on a shock proposal to handle the Gaza Strip to the United States and resettle his people.
The United Nations High Commissioner for the refugees, Philippo Grandy, in an interview at Brussels told AFP that it was not “clear” what the idea happened, making it difficult to comment on such a “sensitive issue”.
“This is very surprising, but we have to see what it means in solid words,” Grandy said.
Trump on Tuesday announced audio gaspas on Tuesday during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which he was hosting in the White House for talks.
In a proposal, which lacked the details, Trump said that he would make the war-entry enclave “incredible”, which would remove unexpected bombs and debris, and make it financially redeveloped.
Grandy also stated that his agency, UNHCR, was in the process of “reviving” the US support after the wide freeze of most US aid by Washington.
“All this is very liquid at this time, which is a problem because we are an outfit that cannot wait very long,” Grandy said.
He said that currently the US has taken 40 percent of all the contributions received by UNHCR.
