London:

Britain on Wednesday warned that it would trigger the return of United Nations restrictions on Iran, if necessary, to prevent it from receiving nuclear weapons because the Security Council met to discuss the expansion of the tehran of uranium stock close to Tehran’s arms grade.

Iran has refused to develop nuclear weapons.

However, this “dramatically” increases the promotion of uranium up to 60% purity, close to 90% of the arms – Grade level, the United Nations Nuclear Sentinel – International Atomic Energy Agency – has warned.

Western states say that no citizen program needs to enrich uranium up to high levels and no other country has done so without producing atomic bombs. Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful.

“We are clear that we will take any diplomatic measures to prevent Iran from receiving nuclear weapons, including Britain’s Deputy United Nations Ambassador James Cariyuki ahead of the meeting, which includes the use of Snapback (restrictions), if necessary,” UK’s Deputy UK Ambassador James Cariyuki told reporters ahead of the meeting.

The closed door meeting was called by six of the 15 members of the council – America, France, Greece, Panama, South Korea and Britain.

Iran’s United Nations Mission on the United States demanded the United Nations Security Council to make weapons to increase the economic war against Iran, “to add to a post on X:” This dangerous misuse must be rejected to protect the council’s credibility. “

The US mission said to the United Nations in a statement after a council meeting that Iran “was the only country in the world without nuclear weapons, producing highly rich uranium, for which it has no reliable peaceful purpose.”

This accused Iran of defying the Security Council and violating IAEA obligations, calling the council “clear and united in addressing and condemning this brazen behavior.”

‘Seize limited time’

US President Donald Trump last month restored the “maximum pressure” campaign on Iran to prevent Tehran from making nuclear weapons. But he also said that he was open for a deal and was ready to talk to Iran’s President Masaud Peseshkian.

Trump wrote a letter to Iran for a nuclear dialogue, which was given on Wednesday, but Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed the conversation.

China will hold a meeting in Beijing on the Iranian “nuclear issue” with Russia and Iran on Friday, its Foreign Ministry said, the two countries sent their Deputy Foreign Ministers.

“We still hope that we can seize a limited time before the end of October this year, to make a deal so that the JCPOA can be maintained,” told reporters before the security council meeting of China’s United Nations Ambassador Fu Kang, “We can maintain JCPOA,” Chinese UN Ambassador Fu Kang told reporters before the security council meeting.

“Maximum pressure on a certain country is not going to achieve the goal,” he said.

Iran reached a deal with Britain, Germany, France, America, Russia and China in 2015 – known as a joint comprehensive action plan – which lifted the restrictions on Tehran in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear program.

Washington left the agreement during Trump’s first term as US President in 2018, and Iran began to move away from its nuclear-related commitments.

Britain, France and Germany will lose the ability to trigger the so -called snap of all international sanctions on Iran on 18 October, when the 2015 United Nations resolution on the deal is ending. Trump has directed his United Nations diplomats to work with colleagues to withdraw international sanctions and restrictions on Iran.

Under the complex two -month JCPOA dispute resolution process, European parties have to effectively deal with a snapback of United Nations restrictions on Iran to effectively deal.
