Electrons oscillate around the nucleus of an atom at a very short time, usually completing a cycle in only a few hundred attocols. Due to their ultrafast movements, it has been challenging to observe direct electron behavior in molecules. Now researchers from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of UC San Diego have suggested a new method to make electron speed a reality.
