Mr. Haq, whose Education and Research Development (ERD) Foundation runs a Central Public School in Sribhumi district of Assam, was arrested by a joint team of police and a special task force from his residence in Ghoramara in Guwahati.

According to police sources, Mr. Haq has been accused of disrupting the Class 12 Physics Examination at Kandia Vidyalaya, one of the examination centers on Friday.

Sources said that Mr. Haq allegedly took money in exchange for external help in answering the question paper from his school students. Sources said that the trouble happened at the center when the students alleged that they were not given any help, the sources said.

A source said, “A total of 274 students appeared in Kandriya Vidyalayala, including 214 from Central Public School.”

At the time of writing this report, Mr. Haq’s family or his lawyer was not immediately commented.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has often targeted Mr. Haq on many issues including allegations of “flood jihad”, said that the state government will ensure that education is not transformed into business.

“For some time, I have been observing a large network that promises students that they will ensure higher marks for them, and beyond medical and engineering entry and CBSE-produced examinations, these students’ examination centers It is converted into specific schools. “He said.

“Under the CBSE syllabus from Golpara, more than 200 students were taken to a center in Pathakardhan, Nagaon and Kamup, Nagaon and Kamup districts, which are hundreds of kilometers away from their home, even when students get easy marks. If he did not get any opportunity, he did not get any opportunity and the issue came out, “he said.

Sarma claimed that such fraud measures alone are not limited to CBSE-operated examinations, but are also happening in medical entrance examinations.

“This person (Shri Haq) is a great fraud, his entire background is fraud. He is trying to mislead people by bringing some intellectuals under his influence,” he said.

Last year, Mr. Haq was entangled in a dispute over his OBC certificate last year, which he obtained “fraud” in the Sribhumi district in the 1990s.

In August, the Chief Minister said that a police case would be allegedly registered for fraud for alleged OBC certificate against the USTM Chancellor, which was later canceled.

Mr. Sarma blamed USTM and Mr. Haq for “Flood Jihad” against Guwahati, claiming that the water flowing below the Versity Campus, which is situated on a hill adjacent to the city, in the capital of Assam There is a heavy flood.
