US Intel Chief Tulsi Gabbard Indo-Pacific to visit India during India’s multi-nation visit




Washington:

The US director of the National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard announced on Monday (local time) that she had launched a multi-nation visit in the Indo-Pacific sector, during which she would visit Japan, Thailand and India.

Gabbard said that his first stop was in Honolulu. He called US President Donald Trump’s important relations, understanding and open lines of communication to achieve the objectives of peace, freedom and prosperity.

Sharing a post on X, Gabbard said, “I am #Whelsup on a multi-nation trip for Indo-Pacific, an area that I know very well that I am getting older as a child of Prashant. I am going to Japan, Thailand, and India, with a brief stop in France, where I am going to DC. I will visit the leaders, and our soldiers to engage in training.

In particular, this is the first visit by an top White House official in India under the Trump administration.

His visit to India follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America in February. During his visit, PM Modi met with Tulsi Gabbard and called him a “strong voter” of Indo-US friendship.

Gabbard also called it “honor” to welcome PM Modi and said that he is ready to strengthen the friendship of America-India.

This was the first visit to the United States after Donald Trump assumed the post for a second term. During his visit to the US, he met Donald Trump at the White House, Trump shared a warm throat in the first meeting between the two leaders after assumed as the 47th US President on 20 January as Trump welcomed PM Modi to the White House.

PM Modi was one of the first world leaders to visit the United States after the inauguration of President Trump and was invited to visit the US within three weeks of the new administration.
