4. Keeping the lamp facing west brings obstacles in life and increases anxiety.
5. Keeping the lamp facing south can cause harm and also create obstacles.
6. According to Hindu religion, the lamp should be kept in the middle of the place of worship and in front of the idol or statue of God.
7. It is auspicious to use red wick in oil lamp and it is considered beneficial to use cotton wick for home lamp.
