Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar took a dip in the Sangam on Saturday and praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the “excellent” system in Maha Kumbh.
Talking to reporters, he said that the world would be amazed to know that the number of people coming to Maha Kumbh is almost equal to the population of the United States.
“It is historical … till date, so many people have never come together on earth. The arrangements and work done by the administration are excellent … I am overwhelmed. I never imagined that this way The incident will be organized in India, “he said.
“There was a tragic accident, but see how efficiently everything was handled,” he said in Hindi, referring to the stampede in which at least 30 people were killed.
Dhankhar said that Adityanath should be praised for organizing a historic program and it was said that more than one lakh toilets have been built for Maha Kumbh and visitors were getting top quality food.
“When I took a dip, it was the happiest moment of my life. I have felt that there is no country like India in the world. Yogi ji has shown that if you have dedication, ability, knowledge of culture and spirit There is knowledge. Service towards the nation, then miraculous work can be done, “said Dhankar.
The Uttar Pradesh government said in a statement, he also prayed in Maha Kumbh and described the incident as a blessing.
Dhankhar, along with his wife and family members, arrived in a helicopter and welcomed by Adityanath. Then he moved towards the Arell Ghat, from where he rode in a cruise boat to take a dip in Triveni Sangam. He also fed some birds during the ride.
Amidst the resonance of Swati text, Dhankhar took a Shiva lingam on his head. The chief priest of Vrindavan, Pandric Goswami performed ‘Pujan-Archan’, while other priests chanting hymns.
After the holy bath, Dhankhar paid obedience in Saraswati Kop, Akshaya Vata and Bed Hanuman Temple with his family.
