James Anderson, who came to play the last Test match of his career against West Indies at Lord’s, took 1 wicket in the first innings. After winning the toss, England captain Ben Stokes chose to bowl first and debutant Angus Alexander Patrick Atkinson reduced West Indies to 121 runs by taking 7 wickets in the first innings. 9 wickets had fallen for 106 runs but the last pair took the score to 121 runs. James Anderson ended the first innings of West Indies by taking the wicket of Jaden Seales.
