Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Bhaiyyaji Joshi on Thursday said violence is sometimes “necessary” to protect the idea of ​​non-violence, stressing that India needs to take everyone along on the path of peace.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of ‘Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair’, also known as ‘Hindu Spiritual Service Fair’, at Gujarat University grounds here.

He said, “Hindus are always committed to protect their religion. To protect our ‘Dharma’ we have to do things which others would call ‘Adharma’ and such things were done by our ancestors.”

Citing the war of Mahabharata, he said that Pandavas kept aside the rules of war to eliminate ‘adharma’.

“It cannot be denied that the element of non-violence is inherent in Hinduism. However, sometimes we have to resort to violence to protect the idea of ​​non-violence. Otherwise, the idea of ​​non-violence will never survive. Be safe Our great ancestors gave us this message,” Mr Joshi said.

According to the RSS leader, the people of India will have to take everyone along on the path of peace because only the one who is capable of taking everyone along can establish peace.

He said that there will be no peace if any religion does not allow others to follow their respective religions.

“There is no country other than India which is capable of taking all the countries together. ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) is the idea of ​​our spirituality. If we consider the whole world as one family, then there will be no conflict. will be.” ” He said.

“When we say that India must become strong, we are actually assuring the world that a strong India and a strong Hindu community is beneficial to all because we will protect the weak and the underprivileged. He is a Hindu,” Mr Joshi said.

The RSS leader said that there is a myth across the world that only a few institutions like churches or missionaries are doing selfless service.

“We have an ancient tradition of serving food to about 1 crore people every day in our temples or gurudwaras. Hindu religious organizations are not limited to just performing rituals, they also run schools, gurukuls and hospitals,” he said.

He said, when people call themselves Hindu it encompasses many aspects, it is a religion, spirituality, ideology, service and lifestyle.

The RSS leader said humanity is at the heart of Hinduism and includes “our duties, cooperation, truth and justice”.
