The US Space Agency stated that NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmor set a new record from the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday for a 5.5-hour spacewalk.
It was Ms. Williams’ ninth spacewalk and Mr. Wilmore’s fifth.
Ms. Williams now holds a record of 62 hours, 6 minutes of total spacewalk time, fourth in NASA’s all -time list.
The US Space Agency said that Ms. Williams and Mr. Wilmor fulfilled their primary objectives, including removing a radio frequency group antenna assembly from the station trus and collecting surface material samples for analysis from the Destiny Laboratory and Quest Airlrock .

Veteran astronaut Wilmore and Williams arrived at the ISS in Boeing in June 2024.
