World Championship of Legends 2024: Under the captaincy of Yuvraj Singh, the Indian Champions team has entered the semi-finals of the World Championship of Legends 2024. Although the team had to face defeat at the hands of South Africa in its last league match, yet on the basis of better run rate the team has confirmed its place in the semi-finals. Apart from India and Pakistan, Australia and West Indies have also made their place in the last 4. Now it is the turn of the semi-finals, the matches will be played on July 12.

The Indian Champions team has lost to South Africa by 54 runs in its last league match. But the team has achieved the desired net run rate. Therefore the team has qualified for the semi-finals. Now in the semi-finals, while on one hand West Indies will face Pakistan Champions, on the other hand, India Champions team will be seen facing Australia Champions. Both these matches will be played on July 12. The match between West Indies and Pakistan will be played at 5 pm Indian time, while the match between Australia Champions and India Champions will start at around 9 pm. The teams that win the semi-final match will go straight to the final and the final will be played on July 13. Whichever team wins this match will be called the winner of this year’s World Championship of Legends.

As far as the match is concerned, Yuvraj Singh won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, South Africa scored 210 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Yuvraj Singh and the Indian Champions camp might be thinking that if the Indian team bats later, they will have a target as to how many runs the team needs in 20 overs, so that the team reaches the semi-finals. It happened exactly the same. India needed 211 runs to win, but if the team wanted to go to the semi-finals, it needed 153 runs in 20 overs. Which he achieved. That is, the South African team could not go to the semi-finals even after winning, whereas the Indian champions team, despite losing, confirmed their place in the semi-finals on the basis of better run rate.
Harbhajan Singh bowled amazingly
While bowling for India Champions, Harbhajan Singh dismissed four batsmen for 25 runs in four overs, while Dhawal Kulkarni, Vinay Kumar, Pawan Negi and Yusuf Pathan dismissed one batsman each. Yusuf Pathan scored the most runs for India Champions. He played a brilliant inning of 54 runs on 44 balls and got his team a ticket to the semi-finals by hitting a four on the last ball.
