Pakistan Champions In Final Of WCL 2024: In the first semi-final of the World Championship of Legends, Pakistan Champions defeated West Indies Champions by 20 runs and made it to the final. The bowlers and batsmen performed well for the Pakistani team in this match. Batting first, Pakistan Champions scored a total of 199 runs, in response to which West Indies Champions were all out for 178 runs. Younis Khan and Sohail Khan proved to be big heroes in the match for Pakistan Champions. It is because of these players that the team has been successful in winning the match.
West Indies Champions batsmen were flops
Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith provided good starts for the West Indies champions. But both these players could not convert their good starts into big innings. Smith contributed 26 runs and Chris Gayle contributed 22 runs. After this, the rest of the batsmen could not show anything special and looked helpless in front of the bowlers of Pakistan Champions. Ashley Nurse definitely scored 36 runs. But the rest of the batsmen failed miserably to perform well. Rayad scored 29 runs. In the last over, West Indies Champions needed 27 runs to win, but West Indies could not score this score and could not even play the full 20 overs. The team was all out for 178 runs.
Sohail Khan took four wickets
Sohail Khan took the maximum of four wickets for Pakistan Champions. He gave only 21 runs in 3.5 overs. He also proved to be quite economical. He was the one who bowled the last over. Wahab Riaz and Shoaib Malik took 2-2 wickets. These bowlers kept the West Indies Champions batsmen under control and did not allow them to reach the target.
Pakistan Champions had a bad start
The Pakistani champions had a very bad start. Opener Sharjeel Khan was out in the first over itself and returned to the pavilion. After this, two wickets fell in the second over. In this way, the team of Pakistani champions had lost 3 wickets within 10 runs. Due to this, the problems of the Pakistani team seemed to be increasing. But then Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal took the responsibility of scoring runs. Both these players did not allow any wicket to fall till 88 runs. But Pakistan captain Younis Khan had come thinking something else. He scored a brilliant 65 runs in 45 balls. Apart from them, Aamer Yamin and Sohail Tanveer batted well in the last overs. Both of them hit big strokes and played an important role in taking the Pakistan champions to a big score. Aamer scored 40 runs. Whereas Sohail contributed 33 runs. Fidel Adverse took three wickets for West Indies.
