Wheat gene pair discovery that combat powder mildew can give rise to more resistant varieties

A study has identified a wheat nucleotide-binding and Lucene-Riche Report (NLR) gene pair, RXL and PM5E, which fulfills resistance to disastrous wheat powder mildew disease.
