Pradosh Vrat in July 2024: The fast of Pradosh is dedicated to Lord Mahadev, the God of Gods. On this day, a fast is observed and Lord Shiva and his entire family are worshiped in the evening. Pradosh fast is considered very important in Hindu religion. It is believed that by observing the fast of Pradosh and worshiping Lord Bholenath, all the troubles of the person can be cured. When is Pradosh Vrat?
Krishna Trayodashi tithi of Ashadh month is starting on 3rd July, which will last till the morning of 4th July. In such a situation, the first Krishna Pradosh fast of July will be observed on 3rd July. At the same time, Shukla Trayodashi date of Ashadh month is starting on 18th July, which will last till the evening of 19th July. In such a situation, the second Shukla Pradosh fast of July will be observed on 18th July.

After taking bath, wear clean clothes. Worship all the Gods and Goddesses including Shiva family duly. If you want to keep a fast, then take a pledge to keep the fast with holy water, flowers and Akshat in your hand. Then in the evening, light a lamp in the home temple at dusk. Then perform Abhishek of Lord Shiva in the Shiva temple or at home and perform the ritual worship of the Shiva family. Now listen to the story of Pradosh Vrat. Then perform the Aarti of Lord Shiva with full devotion with a ghee lamp. At last chant the mantra of Om Namah Shivay. In the end also pray for forgiveness.
