MP News: The board meeting of Indore Development Authority (IDA) was held on Tuesday, in which IDA approved a 75 meter wide road from the airport to Revati village, which will be 15 kilometers long. This road will be developed as Ahilya Path and IDA will develop a new plan for this 15 km long road.

IDA President and Indore Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh said that in an important decision, the Board of Directors of the Authority approved the project. In Indore Development Plan 2021, a 15 kilometer long and 75 meter wide road is proposed in the western area of ​​the city. Based on the land use proposed in the development plan, in-principle approval was given by the Board of Directors of the Authority.

The proposed plan will ease traffic flow in the western area of ​​the city, which will also reduce traffic pressure and pollution from the central area. A total of 5 schemes are proposed on about 1400 hectares of land in 8 villages falling on a 15 kilometer long road. The cost of the first phase of the project will be Rs 400 crore.

what is ahilya path
Ahilya Path will be made as a carbon neutral road. This road will be 90 meters wide instead of 75 meters. Apart from 75 meter road, it will also include greenery, walkway, cycle track and other facilities. Apart from this, dense plantation, cycle track, open green area will be increased from 5% to 7%. Public facilities will be increased.

Proposal for three large area urban parks/regional parks. Arrangement of solar lights in all parks and public places. The first phase will be from Ahalya Path 1 to 5. For the expenditure on road construction, preliminary proposals for urban development plans from Ahilya Path No. 01 to Ahilya Path No. 05 have been prepared on the basis of land use proposed in the development plan. It will be constructed in the first phase.

Fintech city in 5 plans
Out of 5 urban development schemes, 01 special urban development scheme ‘Fintech City’ is being proposed in an area of ​​about 214 hectares in village Palakhedi and Budhaniya. The current land use here is residential in nature. This scheme, being developed as a Fintech City, will strengthen the city’s economy and give it a new identity. Under the scheme, cluster based development will be done and land will be provided to financial technology institutions. The said scheme will provide new employment opportunities to the youth of the state.
