“Will Center will thwart conspiracies”: Revanath Reddy on Delimitation

Hyderabad:

Being before the 2029 general election, delimitation practice is actually a means of limiting South India and reducing its importance and an action plan is being prepared to compete, Telangana Chief Minister Revantha Reddy said today. Mr. Reddy, who received the invitation to Tamil Nadu to attend an all-party meeting on the matter on 22 March, also said that the BJP does not have much representation from the southern states and “wants to take revenge in these states”.

“We will thwart conspiracies composed by the BJP -led central government against the southern states,” he said, “he said, saying that he is giving full support to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, who is playing an important role on the issue of delimitation.

In his invitation for the March 22 meeting, Mr. Stalin said that there are provisions that indicate that the constituencies should not be delimited until the national census is operated after 2026. Even, the central government has “brought out this process before the census”.

Chief Ministers of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, West Bengal, Odisha and Punjab have already been invited to join the Joint Action Committee (JAC) to deal with the matter.

Tamil Nadu is opposing opposition to complexity – exercise to resume constituencies on the basis of population.

The southern state says that against the uncontrolled population of the northern states, which will increase their seats in Parliament, its success with family planning will only punish it with a low number.

Both Chief Minister Stalin and his son and sub -proclaimed Stalin have asked the newlyweds to make children immediately.

“We will win 200-plus seats in Tamil Nadu in the 2026 elections. I request couples who are getting married to be worried about delivery as soon as possible. Our state has applied birth control first, and because of this, we are now facing issues,” Udhayanidhi Stalin said after a mass wedding in Chennai.

Tamil Nadu, Udayanidhi Stalin said, “39 -seat state can lose eight seats in delimitation exercises, while the population that failed to investigate the population in the northern states will get around 100 seats.”

Last month, Union Minister Amit Shah while addressing the issue said that it would not reduce the number of seats even one by one in the southern states.

“I want to assure the people of South India that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken into account your interest and will ensure that not even a seat has reduced. And whatever has increased, the southern states will get a reasonable part, there is no reason to doubt that … The Modi government has made it clear in the Lok Sabha that it will not be said on any seat.
