Why is the month of Saavan special?
Pandit Dharmendra Jha said that according to the Puranas, the churning of the ocean took place in the month of Shravan. At that time, 14 types of elements and 14 gems emerged from the churning of the ocean. Out of these 13 elements and gems, the gods and demons distributed them among themselves. Halahal poison was also found to be one of those elements. That Halahal poison was given to Lord Shankar. Lord Shankar wore Halahal poison in his throat. Due to this, Lord Shankar’s throat turned blue, due to this Lord Shankar was called Neelkanth. But the heat of that poison was so high that the gods could not find any way to cool the heat. On this, Shiv Shankar had placed Chandradev on his head and Ganga descended on Lord Shankar’s head, yet the temperature did not reduce. Then Lord Shankar was anointed with thousands of streams of water. Since then the tradition and belief of offering water to Lord Shankar has been going on.
Perform different Jalabhishek for different wishes
Every person performs Jalabhishek with different wishes. If the correct method is followed in this, then very auspicious benefits are obtained. Pandit Dharmendra Jha told that apart from water, Abhishek of Shiva is done with various liquids like milk, curd, ghee, sugarcane juice, honey, Ganga water, mango juice, sugar etc. to fulfill various wishes. If a person worships Lord Shiva in the month of Shravan with full devotion, devotion and faith, then he definitely achieves his desired. For the fulfillment of wishes, ritual Jalabhishek is considered mandatory.

2.Milk By anointing with this, one gets a healthy body and a healthy physique.
