Sawan Monday puja ritual
After taking bath, wear clean clothes. Worship all the Gods and Goddesses including Shiva family duly. If you have to keep a fast then take a pledge to keep the fast with holy water, flowers and Akshat in your hand. Light a lamp in the temple of the house. Then perform Abhishek of Lord Shiva in the Shiva temple or home and perform the ritual worship of the Shiva family. Now listen to the story of Sawan Monday fast. Then perform the Aarti of Lord Shiva with full devotion with a ghee lamp. Offer food. Read Shiv Chalisa. Chant the mantra of Om Namah Shivay. In the end also pray for forgiveness.
