How did the festival of Rakshabandhan start?

Many stories are popular about Rakshabandhan. According to religious belief, Rakshabandhan is believed to have started with Krishna and Draupadi. Lord Krishna had killed the evil king Shishupala. During the war, the finger of Krishna’s left hand was bleeding. Seeing this, Draupadi became very sad and she tore a piece of her saree and tied it on Krishna’s finger, which stopped his bleeding. From then on Krishna accepted Draupadi as his sister. Years later, when the Pandavas lost Draupadi in gambling, she was being disrobed in front of the crowd. Then Krishna saved Draupadi’s shame. According to historical belief, Rakshabandhan started between Queen Karnavati and Emperor Humayun. There was a conflict going on between Rajputs and Muslims in the medieval era. Rani Karnavati was the widow of the king of Chittor. During that time, seeing that there was no way to protect herself and her people from Sultan Bahadur Shah of Gujarat, the queen had sent Rakhi to Humayun. Then Humayun protected her and gave her the status of sister.
