How to perform Sarva Pitru Amavasya Shraddha Karma: On this day, invoke the ancestors by placing flowers etc. at the main entrance of the house. First, take out the grass of crow, dog and ant, cow symbolizing Yama. Take milk, water, sesame seeds and flowers in a vessel. Offer tarpan thrice with kush and black sesame seeds. Donate clothes, fruits, sweets etc. to a Brahmin. Those who could not find Brahmins can distribute food etc. in the temple.
