The Indian benchmark indices extended its loss to the third consecutive week as the earnings continue to hurt the investor emotions. The leading gauge on Friday shocked its two -day profit, weighed over the fall in Heavyweight HDFC Bank Limited and Reliance Industries Limited.

S&P BSE Sensex closed at 329.92 points or 0.43% 76,190.46, while NIFTY 50 was at 113.15 points or 0.49% less at 23,092.20. During the day, the Nifty fell 0.67% to 23,050, and the sensex declined 0.56% to 76,091.7.

Since October 2024, the FPI has been a major pure seller as he launched shares worth Rs 7,292.3 crore. According to provisional data of NSE compiled by NDTV benefits, DII bought shares worth Rs 5.32 lakh crore to pure buyers during this period.

According to NSDL data, in December alone, the FPI was a net buyers, which used to increase Indian equities worth Rs 15,446 crore.
