Sarawana Kumar, a native of Mettupalayam in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, started his career as an IT professional. After graduating from the University of Bhartidasana at Tiruchirappalli with a MCA degree, he joined a company called Nuwa Systems as a software engineer in Coimbatore.
The 48 -year -old Big Break came in 2003 when he joined Microsoft UK as integration architect, being posted in London. For the next 10 years, he focused on a product called Biztock.
He worked as a business consultant for various top firms of the world such as Accenture, Fidelity and Microsoft. During his tenure at Microsoft, Sarawana Kumar found some gaps in the product.
Emotional about the manufacture and manufacture of new products, the technology began to build its product, which was to address the gaps near the business. In 2011, after a Microsoft Conference in Seattle, he launched a product called biztalk360.
Kovai.co’s visit began in 2011 with the same product. Since then, the company has increased and expanded with two new core products called Turbo 360 and Document 360.
Kovai.co now costs more than $ 100 million and makes $ 15 million in annual revenue.
Sarawana Kumar lives in London with his wife and two children, while his parents still live in Coimbatore. He regularly visits India.
Apart from his love for technology, Sarawana Kumar is known for his passion for cars among his employees. He told the NDTV profit that he also has a roadmap as to which cars he wants to buy because Kovai hits a new milestone.
