FPIS remains net sellers for the fifth season


Foreign portfolio investors on Tuesday stopped pure vendors of Indian equity for the fifth straight session as they unloaded shares worth about Rs 4,486 crore.

According to the provisional data of the National Stock Exchange, domestic institutional investors kept the net buyers as equity of Rs 4,002 crore for the fifth straight session.

FPI sold shares worth Rs 2,302.4 crore on Monday. In February, FPI has so far sold Rs 10,112 crore. So far in the year, FPI has sold equity worth Rs 88,139 crore. In January, the FPI sold equity worth Rs 78,027 crore as per National Securities Depository Limited data.
