New Delhi. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its first electric car SU7 in China this year. Now the company is preparing to introduce it in India also. According to Times of India, the company can present the display unit of this car in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. It is being told that Xiaomi can launch premium products in India like its rival companies BYD and MG Motor. However, the company spokesperson rejected these speculations and said that there is no such plan as of now.

The delivery of Xiaomi SU7 electric SUV in China started in March this year. Apart from China, the company is looking at Europe and America as the main markets for this electric SUV, where the markets are the most developed in the world for electric vehicles. Xiaomi told Times of India that at present the company does not plan to launch an electric car in India. The company said that it is exploring possibilities for electric vehicles in the Indian market and currently its focus is on its core products in India.

How much will Xiaomi car cost?
Xiaomi SU7 has been launched in China at a price of $30,000. Its price in Indian rupees is approximately Rs 25 lakh. It is about $ 4000 (Rs 3.3 lakh) cheaper than Tesla’s cheapest electric car Model 3 in China. SU7 has been introduced in two models which offer different drive ranges.

Its base model has a range of 668 kilometers on a single charge and the top model has a range of 800 kilometers. Its display unit was imported just a few weeks ago to be introduced in the Indian market. Let us tell you that the company has completed 10 years in India and introducing an electric car on this occasion is considered a big achievement for the company.

The company says that now its products are being expanded not only to smartphones, gadgets and consumer electronics but also to electric vehicles. This shows how much importance the company attaches to innovation to keep moving forward.
