Bharat presides over the Gulf of Bengal Binsia Organization


India on Friday captured a think tank on the fisheries sector of Bay of the inter-governmental organization of Bengal.

An official statement said that India received the chaired by Bangladesh’s inter-governmental organization from Bangladesh in the 13th Governing Council meeting in the 13th Governing Council meeting in Maldives.

The Bobp-Aigo established in 2003, is a regional fisheries body, especially compulsory to help member countries to increase livelihood opportunities and improve the quality of life of small scale/ artisan fishermen in the Gulf of Bengal region Is.

The current members of the organization are Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka, while Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand are collaborating with non-affection parties.

The Indian delegation, Abhilaksha like, Secretary, Fisheries Department, led by the Department of India, took the chair during the event.

Lihi highlighted that India is committed to maintaining and constructing Bob-Igo achievements as an infection leading from Bangladesh to India.

He assured that the Government of India will work hard to bring the success of Bob-Igo to new heights and will be upcoming to provide certain guidance for all future efforts for the development of fisheries in all member countries.
