When is Bhaum Pradosh Vrat?
According to Drik Panchang, the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start at 03:42 AM on 15 October 2024 and end at 12:19 AM on 16 October 2024. Therefore, according to Udayatithi, Pradosh Vrat will be observed on Tuesday, 15 October 2024 and because it falls on Tuesday, it will be called Bhaum Pradosh Vrat.
Pradosh Kaal Puja Muhurat: According to Drik Panchang, the auspicious time for Pradosh Kaal Puja will be from 05:51 pm to 08:21 pm on October 15, 2024.
Worship material : White flowers, aak flowers, white sandalwood, belpatra, datura, hemp, camphor, pure cow’s ghee, white clothes, pot filled with water, white sweets, plate for aarti, incense, lamp, cotton wick and all other pujas. Gather the materials.
Method of worship: On the day of Bhaum Pradosh fast, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Wear clean clothes. After this, perform Jalabhishek of Shivling and offer fruits and flowers. On this day, it is considered auspicious to worship Shiva family including Shiva-Gauri and Ganeshji. After proper worship of Lord Shiva and chanting of mantras, offer it to him. Perform the aarti of Bholenath. After this, start Shiva puja in the evening during Pradosh period. If possible, visit Shiva temple also. Worship Lord Shiva as per the rituals. Make sure to worship Hanumanji also on this day. Recite Hanuman Chalisa and offer them Bundi laddus.
