Delhi Metro on Amazon Pay: About 60 lakh people travel every day in the country’s largest and busiest Delhi Metro. Some have to go to office and some have to go to school. Almost everyone, from young to old, uses Delhi Metro to reach their destination. When people travel in such large quantities, they have to face some problems.
One such problem is the long queue for tickets at the metro station. Due to lack of metro card, it takes a lot of time for people to get tickets. However, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has already provided QR code-based ticket system service to provide convenience to the people. Expanding this further, Amazon Pay has also been included in it.

To save people from hassle, DMRC had started QR code-based ticket system, through which people can book tickets from home through apps like WhatsApp, Paytm, DMRC Momentum 2.0, One Delhi and Tummoc.
People have also benefited from this service. Now the name of Amazon Pay has also been added to this list. Now people will be able to book QR code based tickets of Delhi Metro through Amazon Pay also. Last Thursday, i.e. on July 11, 2024, DMRC announced its partnership with Amazon Pay on micro-blogging site X (old name Twitter).
How to book tickets through Amazon Pay
- To book tickets, first go to Amazon Pay app.
- After that the option of Delhi Metro QR ticket will appear in the menu option or search bar.
- As soon as you click on Delhi Metro QR ticket option. Similarly, a new page will open in front of you.
- After this, you will have to enter the name of the metro station from which you will board and the metro station at which you will get down.
- After this, select the number of tickets you want to book.
- Keep in mind that you can book only a maximum of 6 tickets at a time.
- After this you will have to make payment.
- After payment, you will get a QR-Code scanner on the phone itself.
- After reaching the metro station, you just have to scan it at the Automatic Fare Collection gate.
- After completing your journey, you will be able to go out by entering the same QR code at the exit gate of the metro station.
