Yogini Ekadashi fasting rules: Yogini Ekadashi fast will be observed on 2nd July. Yogini Ekadashi has immense religious significance in Sanatan Dharma. Devotees observe fast on this auspicious day and perform Parana on Dwadashi Tithi. Apart from this, some devotees go to the temple of Lord Vishnu to perform special worship. Ekadashi comes twice in a month. One is Krishna Paksha and the other is Shukla Paksha. Doing certain things on Ekadashi can make Lord Vishnu angry and the financial condition can also be affected. What not to do on Yogini Ekadashi?

  1. black clothes- According to religious beliefs, black colored clothes should not be worn on any auspicious occasion or during worship. Therefore, avoid wearing black colored clothes on the day of Yogini Ekadashi. To get the immense blessings of Lord Vishnu, it will be very auspicious to wear yellow colored clothes on this day.
  2. Basil leaves- Tulsi leaves are very dear to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, without which no offering is made to the Lord. Therefore, on the day of Yogini Ekadashi, one should neither touch nor pluck Tulsi leaves, even by mistake. Breaking basil leaves can anger Goddess Lakshmi.
  3. Rice- Rice should not be consumed at all on Yogini Ekadashi. It is believed that consuming rice on this day brings bad luck.
  4. Insult- Try not to hurt anyone on this day and also avoid arguments. Avoid insulting anyone or making fun of anyone.
  5. mass-liquor- One should not consume alcoholic beverages even by mistake on the day of Yogini Ekadashi. Consuming vindictive food on this day may anger Lord Vishnu.
