- Every day before cooking food in the kitchen, light a ghee lamp in the north direction. Whenever you light the stove, pay obeisance to Lord Agni.
- Do not keep a dustbin in your kitchen. Take care that garbage does not accumulate in the kitchen.
- To maintain the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, prepare only satvik food in the kitchen and avoid non-vegetarian food.
- Keeping a picture of Mother Annapurna in the kitchen is considered very auspicious. Always bow to Mother Goddess and worship her before cooking food.
- It is believed that collecting false utensils in the kitchen at night can anger Goddess Lakshmi. Therefore, clean the kitchen before sleeping and do not keep utensils lying around throughout the night.
- After preparing food, first offer food to the stove. After this, offer food to God as per convenience and then serve food to the oldest person in the house.
- Always cook with a happy heart. Never cook food in anger.
- To maintain the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, clean the kitchen daily. Keep in mind that there is no rotten food or fruits kept in the kitchen.
