According to the India Bullion Association, the price of gold in India was Rs 81,410 per 10 grams till 7:20 am on Friday. Prices had increased by Rs 690 as compared to 29 January. It reached a record high of Rs 83,750 per 10 grams in Delhi during the week.

According to the All India Sarafa Association, this fast climb was inspired by strong demand from jewelers and retailers. In the last trading session, 99.9% of the precious metal of purity was settled at Rs 82,840 per 10 grams.

The rates in New Delhi were Rs 81,120 per 10 grams, while in Mumbai the price was more than Rs 81,260. In Kolkata, the rate was Rs 81,150, while in Bengaluru, according to the association, the rate crossed Rs 81,330. With a price of Rs 81,500, Chennai saw the highest rates in the country.

Gold prices have been seen as a sharp climb late, and the futures price for April 4 was a hit of Rs 81,128 on Thursday. According to the Multi Commodity Exchange, an increase of Rs 205 compared to Wednesday’s price is a fresh high marked for precious yellow metal.
