India needs to increase its solar capacity every year to meet the target of 2030

If 2030 targets are to be achieved for installed solar capacity, India will need to increase efforts. According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India’s established solar capacity was 105.6 GW at the end of FY 2025. This means that we have achieved only 35% of our 300 GW target of 2030.
