The Maharashtra government on Monday proposed to increase the motor vehicle tax on compressed-nature-gasons and electric cars with an impact from 1 April.
CNG cars will now attract 1% more road tax in slabs. According to the budget, electric cars above Rs 30 lakh will be taxed at 6%.
