Method of worship of Bholenath:
Wake up early in the morning on the day of Pradosh fast.
After bathing, meditate on Lord Shiva.
Take a pledge to fast and worship Lord Shiva.
Prepare for evening puja.
Start worshiping Lord Shiva during Pradosh period.
Go to Lord Shiva’s temple and offer water belpatra on Shivalinga.
After this, offer fruits, flowers, incense sticks and naivedya to Lord Shiva.
Chant Lord Shiva’s seed mantra ‘Om Namah Shivay’ with Rudraksha rosary.
If possible, feed the Brahmin and give donations as per your capacity.
Method of breaking fast:
To start the Pradosh fast, make a mandap with colorful clothes after taking bath. Install the idol of Shiva-Gauri in it and worship it duly. In this garden, for the purpose of worshiping Shiva and Parvati, offer Kheer to the fire. While performing Havan, the offering should be made 108 times with the mantra ‘Om Uma Sahati Shivay Namah’. Along with this, while chanting the mantra Om Namah Shivay, offer sacrifice to Shankarji. After Havan, do charitable work as per your capacity. Provide food to Brahmins. The fasting person should eat food while taking blessings of Brahmins and meditating on Bholenath. According to mythology, Pradosh fast removes sorrows and increases lifespan and wealth. Also the person gets the desired results.
