Fire in Saudi Airlines: A Saudi Airlines plane caught fire while landing at Peshawar’s Bachakhan Airport on Thursday. This ship was coming to Peshawar from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. There were about 300 people on board. All the passengers were taken out safely in time. According to a statement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, when the Saudi Airlines flight was landing, air traffic controllers saw smoke and sparks coming out from the left side of the plane.
According to a report by Dawn, the pilots were the first to be alerted as soon as information about the fire was received. After this the fire brigade and rescue service were informed. According to the report, fire brigade vehicles controlled the flames coming out of the plane in time, due to which the plane was saved from a major accident. There were 276 passengers and 21 crew members on board, all were evacuated safely through the emergency slide.
A big accident could have happened
According to Pakistani media, Saudi Airlines 792 reached Bachakhan Airport in Peshawar on Thursday morning. During this time, while rotating in a loop near the runway, smoke rose from the left landing gear of the aircraft and flames started rising. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the employees present at the airport took immediate effective steps.
Situation normal at airport
According to officials, if the fire was not controlled in time, a major accident could have occurred. According to the report, a team took the passengers out of the plane through an emergency slide and the fire brigade was busy extinguishing the fire. Peshawar airport officials said that as of now, the airport is operational and all flights are on schedule.
