Exact date of Rakshabandhan 2024: According to Drik Panchang, Purnima Tithi will start at 03:04 am on August 19, 2024 and will end at 11:55 pm. Therefore, according to Udayatithi, the festival of Rakshabandhan will be celebrated on 19th August only.
Time to tie Rakhi: On the day of Rakshabandhan, Bhadra Kaal will be from 05:53 AM to 01:32 AM. After this, Panchak will be observed from 07:00 PM in the evening till 05:53 AM the next day on 20th August 2024. Therefore, the best time to tie Rakhi will start from 1:40 pm in the afternoon till 6:30 pm in the evening.
Rakhi should be tied to these deities: On the day of Rakshabandhan, Rakhi should be tied first to Lord Ganesha, Lord Krishna and then to the brother.
