The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensx ended with a marginal deficit on Wednesday as ITC Limited and Larsen & Toubro Limited dragged the share prices. The index erased most of its morning’s gains, as the earnings reports greatly reduced the investor feelings.
The Nifty 50 was finished at 42.95 points, or 0.18% at 23,696.30, and the sensex ended at 312.53 points, or 0.40% 78,271.28.
Earlier in the day, the Nifty 50 increased 0.29% at a high level of 23,807.30, and Sensx increased 0.19% at a high level of 78,735.41 a day.
In the last hour of business, the Nifty fell by 0.25% at the lowest level of the day of 23,680.45, and the sensex fell 0.45% at the day low of 78,226.26.

Aditya Gaggar, director of progressive shares, said the markets faced resistance and reversed at 23,800 levels.
“Nifty 50 faced resistance at 23,780, where both falling veg pattern and 50DMA came into the game. This level now serves as an immediate support, while 23,520 on the negative side continues to act as a support on 23,520 on the negative side Keeping. From the point of view, it shows that it is a ‘Hai’ on the Dips market, with a good chance to break the resistance and grow up to 24,000, he said.
Shares of Larsen & Toubro Limited, ITC Limited, State Bank of India, Titan Company and Reliance Industries Limited weighed Nifty 50.
While HDFC Bank Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corp, Hindalco Industries Limited, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited, and Adani Ports Limited Gaddi fall.
On NSE, upgraded in nine out of 12 regions, and three declined. The NSE Nifty Realty declined the most, and the NSE Nifty Media increased the most.
Extensive markets improved benchmark indices. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap index increased to 0.69% and 1.42% respectively.
On BSE, 15 areas declined by upgraded and six 21. BSE oil and gas increased the most, and BSE Realty declined the most.
The width of the market was slant in favor of buyers. Around 2,550 shares were advanced, 1,416 shares declined, and 139 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
