India’s benchmark equity index ended red on Monday, with realty, and oil and gas areas the biggest decline.

NSE Nifty 50 benefited three sessions and ended at 92.20 points or 0.41% less at 22,460.30, while the BSE Sensx closed down 217.41 points or 0.29% at 74,115.17.

Foreign portfolio investors remained pure seller of Indian equity for the 13th straight session on Monday, as they shut down shares worth Rs 485 crore. Domestic institutional investors stopped pure buyers for the 23rd season as they bought an equity of Rs 263.5 crore.
