Guru Purnima will be celebrated on 21st July. On this day, chosen spiritual or educational gurus are worshiped and respected by their followers. It is celebrated on the full moon day of Ashadha month. Astrologer Pandit Ashok Pandey told that according to Hindi calendar, many yogas meet during Guru Purnima. On the day of Guru Purnima, there is a possibility of achieving all goals. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is a special type of yoga which is formed when certain constellations fall on a particular day of the week. The combination of these constellations is considered auspicious for starting new tasks or business.
Guru Purnima Puja Method:
On this auspicious day, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Taking bath in holy rivers on this day has great importance. Those who cannot go to the holy rivers for bathing should take bath by adding Ganga water to the bathing water. While bathing, meditate on all the holy rivers.
After taking bath, light the lamp in the temple of the house.
If possible, keep a fast on this day.
Anoint all the Gods and Goddesses with Ganga water.
Worship of Lord Vishnu on the holy day of full moon has special significance.
On this day, worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu.
Offer food to Lord Vishnu. Include Tulsi also in the offering to Lord Vishnu. According to religious beliefs, Lord Vishnu does not accept offerings without Tulsi. Keep in mind that only virtuous things are offered to God.
Perform Aarti of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi.
On this auspicious day, meditate as much as possible on Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi.
