When is Valmiki Jayanti?
According to Drik Panchang, the full moon date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start at 08:40 PM on 16 October 2024 and will end at 04:55 PM the next day on 17 October 2024. Therefore, according to Udayatithi, Valmiki Jayanti will be celebrated on Ashwin Purnima day on 17th October. Performing puja in Abhijeet Muhurta on this day is considered auspicious.

Wake up before sunrise in the morning on the day of Valmiki Jayanti. Wear clean clothes after bathing. If possible, take bath in the holy river. After this, offer water to the Sun God. Clean the home temple and start worshiping Valmiki ji.
