According to Drik Panchang, Dashami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start from 10:58 am on October 12 and will end at 09:08 am on October 13, 2024. Whereas, this year Dussehra will be celebrated on 12 October 2024.
Muhurta for Ayudha Puja: Ayudha Puja is performed in Vijay Muhurta on the day of Dussehra. On this day, Vijay Muhurta will be from 02:03 PM to 02:49 PM. During this time weapons can be worshipped.
Method of Ayudha Puja on Dussehra:
Wake up before sunrise on the day of Dussehra. Wear clean clothes after bathing. After this, start worshiping weapons in Vijay Muhurta. Purify all the weapons by sprinkling Ganga water on them. After this, apply turmeric-kumkum tilak on the arms. Offer flowers and Shami leaves. Feed the poor and needy. After this give donations.
